Significance
At 155 MW, Super Tamor is one of the larger survey-stage projects in eastern Nepal, though it sits in the shadow of the much larger Upper Tamor (285 MW, under construction) on the same river. The Tamor basin has attracted attention for both run-of-river and storage development potential, with multiple projects at different licence stages competing for water allocation and transmission evacuation from a relatively undeveloped eastern corridor.
